Program Overview
The SCSEBA Advantage Mini-med program is an avenue for member school and community college Districts to provide a cost effective, voluntary medical coverage to employees who do not qualify for the regular benefits. Features of the voluntary plans available through SCSEBA include:
- Affordable employee and family coverage
- Coverage for preventative care
- Coverage for emergency care, and selective elective care
- Prescription Drug coverage
- Hospital and physician discounts
Districts have the option of choosing between two different carriers offered in the SCSEBA Mini-Med program:
Reliance Standard or Blue Cross of California. Each carrier offers a different level of coverage, as well as different plan options.
